Likewise, they should lose any assistance in paying any medical debt they incur, and such debt should likewise be rendered impervious to bankruptcy a la student loan debt. I'd even consider denying them the ability to sue if their injuries result from an accident caused by someone else.

If someone makes the deliberate choice to forgo seat belts, they should bear the full, crushing responsibility of that choice.

My nephew is a maintenance/security man at Sun City Georgia and is in and out of the vehicle constantly. He tried clicking the belt behind him but over a few weeks started to irritate his hip where the buckle was. Now he uses the buckle cut out of an old van before it got junked. Anyone who is constantly in and out of the vehicle and not getting any speed could find this useful to hush the alarm.

I'd like the see the driver have the ability to turn off the passenger front airbag but have it default back to on when you turn the car off. Putting someone in the back seat with medical issues because of the air bag is challenging but necessary. I also think we have less forgotten babies in the back seat cooking to death in hot cars if people could go back to putting the car seat in the front.
