Joe Biden reminds me of Harry Truman, in some respects.

Harry Truman was a plain-spoken man, inclined toward the unvarnished truth.

Joe Biden is known for his "gaffes".

Someone once said, that in Washington, a "gaffe" was when someone spoke the truth.

Joe Biden is much like Truman, in that respect.

He "gaffes" a lot.

in recent years. It isn't that he was uneducated, but he certainly was no Ivy Leaguer and his plainspoken "common sense" was his best resource.
