Those Senators who were "fooled" by testimony of conservative nominees in hearings ...

should at least acknowledge that approval by the Federalist Society should render any nomination radioactive.

But then, you'd think a Bar Association rating of "not qualified" would have done that, so dream on.

I cannot believe that the Senator from Maine was so naive.

The nominees lied in front of her, then she lied to us.

I live in Texas and I know about ours.

But at least I know what I’m getting.

and never forget this is Mitch McConnell's court.. only two reasons he tolerated Trump: (1) skewing the USSC to the right (2) tax cuts for the ultra wealthy/big business..as for Collins and Murkowski...they are seasoned pols not gullible fools..they lie and are lied to and they knew this was coming, hell, we all did, but this Alito leak caught them embarrassed and guilty...no time to fine-tune bullshit press releases justifying their disastrous votes to confirm unqualified incompetents...

And honestly, is anyone even justified in claiming surprise? Clearly signaled. And the only difference this draft represents - is Alito plainly stating his intent, vs Roberts having a shot at a more palatable (but ultimately the same) finesse of the same end.

to keep power in the hands of old white men - it does not involve the welfare of anyone but them.

They pretended to be fooled because they knew they were voting for the end of women's rights in this country and they didn't want tot explain that to their voters.
