But unless the average American sees it on all networks, so they can't switch over to Honey BooBoo or The Kardassians, it'll just be a blip in the newspaper. but OJ was a celebrity thing. And there were still complaints from people who were missing their soaps.

Watergate was back when the news media did their jobs. Had republicons gotten control of the radio and the Fox/OAN/NewsMax tv news earlier, that coverage would have been vastly different. I'm among those who think Nixon might have survived.

I think we'll be able to predict the outcome quickly. If the media presents it as "this was TREASON!!!! Pay attention!!", we're good. If they do the usual "both sides" or "some are saying", we're sunk. Same if they just put the hearing in an inset box while continuing regular programming.

MF45's impeachment hearings were televised, and I was so disappointed that it didn't change public opinion nearly as much as it should have. Either time. Probably shouldn't have been surprised though, all the rotten things exposed in the 2016 campaign didn't hurt the MFer.
