If you have a fitness tracker with an option to keep track of the menstrual cycle...

Message the company and point out that it is dangerous to collect this information.

Even if you do not menstruate any longer or you are male. I never really believe that this information is private.

I don't really care who knows how many steps I've walked in a day, but these apps try to do way too much.

Android as it comes from source code is relatively secure.

But companies like Huawei compile their own code and inject their own adds.

China is a security risk. Period.

There are more of them, so they are targeted...... iphones also have their weaknesses.

But one of the biggest privacy freaks on the net is touting de-googled android as the safest, most secure phone.

You can Google it. Kind of ironic.

A lot of phones have weaknesses inserted by carriers. Not sure that is unique to Android, but apple may keep a shorter leash on them.

As on computers, be careful what apps you install. It is the apps that use the exploits.

This has nothing to do with android vs apple or malware.

or daily planner. It doesn't take any longer. Or you could use a digital calendar and write your own code letters.

I cannot imagine using a phone for that. Lmao.

Never mind that my body told me before any reminder was needed.

a phone app would be more convenient. Do we really need an app for everything? I'd never even considered the privacy issues. Brave New World!

that I use for tracking my diet/weight loss. "But Mom, there's an app for that!"

My response was that I'd have to turn on the phone/computer, wait for it to boot up, open the app, and then register the number, rather than just picking up my pencil and making the line just a little bit longer. Sometimes the less tech the better.

interrogators in a state who want you to prove you didn't have an abortion could use the information on this device against you.
