The majority does not want this. They do not respect the rights of women.
At least, in Afghanistan they don't pretend it is a democracy.

(53,791 posts)I hadn't looked at it that way before but a religious/extreme right minority is indeed imposing their will on a much larger majority.

(11,122 posts)Catholic and evangelical dogma holds that life begins at conception.
These minority religions demand their rights when they were told they must pay taxes that fund abortion and service gay marriage. They demanded that we listen to and care about their beliefs. But, ever the hypocrites, they don't mind ignoring and outlawing our beliefs.

(89,252 posts)We have people that strongly support it and they vote based on protecting these rights.
Then you have people that oppose it.
But there are people that don't care about there issue . They would ptobably be considered prochoice since they don't support a ban . But they also don't care enough about the issue to vote based on it and wouldn't care if it was banned.
