(1,850 posts)Cities with mass transit might see something like that, just not on a large scale.
Stickers that could be placed anywhere. This is war.
I grew up in NYC, riding the subway, and saw a lot of posters and ads that were startling, thought provoking, silly. And saw.a lot of stickers placed to be noticed.
Very pleased to see that ad in the NYC subway system.

PLain padded USPS envelope, no one will ever know.
I would suggest to women who live in slave states that they order before they need it, just in case it gets intercepted.

(15,303 posts)If someone finds a source that definitively and accurately describes which types of medications should have certain expiration dates, please post.
Many of the expiration dates are for liability CYA.
Some of the others are to get consumers to toss perfectly effective meds and get new ones.

(21,487 posts)the knowledge of chemistry or of what is in their new to judge whether or not it is chemically still stable after a given time, whether it is effective, or whether it could be harmful if taken. So most people will not take a chance on a medicine labelled out of date.

(111,277 posts)and generally speaking, we're talking about tiny amounts, just measurable. The variation is extremely wide.
Pharmacy expiration dates are a joke, potency for a lot of drugs is measured in years. Pharmacies generally just write them for a year past the date the prescription is filled, telling you nothing
The two drugs in question are mifepristone and misoprostol.
I did find the latter, tablets at or just past their expired period and which had been stored at 40C or 104F and found no decline in potency. The tablets were obtained via the WHO in Malawi and tested in Germany. Offhand I'd say they're fine in intact packaging at lower temperatures.
Mifepristone has been a little harder to find, I'm on page 10 and my eyes are giving up. About the only useful thing I saw was keeping the packaging intact until use, usually a blister pack. If I can find something more constructive, I'll edit.
Offhand, I'd tend to say a supply could be kept for at least the 2-3 years suggested by the manufacturer. It is something that could be kept on hand. I'd just keep it out of sight of a nosy MIL or preacher and probably the cops in slave states.
Misoprostol: https://journals.plos.org/plosone/article?id=10.1371/journal.pone.0238628
Jesus H Christ, it's like pulling teeth out there. Mifepristone has a shelf life of 5 years. https://www.truthorfiction.com/shelf-life-of-mifepristone-and-misoprostol/ Decent search terms got me bioavailabilty and in vivo half life but nothing on its stability at various temperatures. I had to do a dumbass search to find it.

(5,164 posts)In case it soon becomes illegal to mail them etc. I hope they last a long time. The problem will be if someone has a complication etc. and needs to go to seek help at an er etc.
I think they are exceedingly safe though with no deaths ever reported.
Someones mother was sentenced to jail for giving them to her daughter in PA.

I predict now no one will tell anyone they are pregnant anymore because they will start trying to charge/ arrest pregnant people who have miscarriages as well.
