2. Yes. It's a faux intellectual excuse for rejecting whatever decisions don't suit

hard core to extremist conservatives. It's even more dishonest and invalid than the intellectual basis for their opposition to what they called "liberal judicial activism" -- which disappeared when they were able to pack the high court with RW political agents.

Agree that the reactionaryism underlying RW extremism has nothing to do with thinking. These people are smart, but their thinking is confined to developing elaborate, lengthy excuses for whatever they want, which I've noticed lately including Fox News "reasoning" for RW voters.
