The 2022 election will tell us how strongly this nation feels about Roe v Wade being overturned.

If Dems make major gains in Congress and at the state level, that will tell us a sizeable number of citizens are upset about it. If not, then that will tell us it's not an important issue or as important as other issues like cost of living.

1. That should have happened in 2016. After McConnell refused President Obama's SC appointment

it should have been clear to everyone that the Supreme Court was at stake

There was no excuse in 2016 for anyone who was pro choice to vote for Jill Stein, or not vote for Hillary

That is the reality

We lost THREE SUPREME COURT appointments because of that.

Winning both Houses will be very tough, but especially the House because of the redistricting games that were played with the census, and the voting suppression legislation that was passed in various states.

2. That election told us that for many, women's right to choose wasn't a top issue

I would imagine most everyone in 2016 knew that control of the Supreme Court was at stake.

along with the Democrats brought us out of the Republican e comic implossion.

Now because of the trump wars, trump’s mishandling of the pandemic, trump green lighting Putin to invade Ukraine, etc., we have rampant inflation, caused by the shortages and high energy costs, which affect the price of everything from food to automobiles

Even though Biden won in 2020, we barely won both Houses of Congress, and the only way we stand a chance in the midterms is if we are extremely motivated. We will be going against history where it says the party in the majority usually loses seats in the midterms, and we cannot afford to lose any seat, and need to gain seats

8. Voter motivation will be key

If people are willing to wait in long lines and to take the time to make sure their voter registration meets state's requirements, then the R's can be defeated.

If they are not so motivated, then the obstacles the R's put in place could be enough to convince some not to bother to vote.

10. Untold numbers of voters find long hours in line prohibitive for many reasons

Poverty and missed work are a bad combo
Age and disability make standing for hours painful or impossible
Weather — hours in the hot sun, pouring rain, or cold and dark — giving out water or food now outlawed
Not allowing mail-in ballots
Ethnic cleansing of voting records
Onerous demands for ID

I could go on, and on. Red states certainly have.

The interesting thing is I don't know what the government can do about this round of inflation. The dollar is strong. This inflation comes from supply chain issues.

Less supply with high demand equals higher prices.

Also the oil producing countries are intentionally keeping supplies lower to drive up costs. We've done this to ourselves with our unwavering commitment to being dependant on oil.

I don't know what Republicans running for congress are saying they can do.

By election day, the passion of the issue will have passed. Republicans will have manipulated the price of gasoline to six dollars a gallon, and the Republicans will win in a landslide based on the economy. Wait for it.
