most deeply honorable form of government ever devised by man." Somebody NEEDS to compile a video roll of conservative/GOP icons talking about/referring to our democracy. Regan, Eisenhower, the Bushes, etc. Eisenhower's farewell address went into great detail about the importance of preserving our democracy. This bullshit about "we're not a republic, not a democracy" needs to stop.

You had a good run, United States. But when you couldn't persuade a majority of your own citizens to operate under a system of majority rules, there was nothing for it but a complete breakdown of civil society.
