is "about putting this back in the hands of elected officials the way it should be,"
Whoopi bombed him, "No, that's NOT the way it should be! It should be between a woman and her doctor, family. If I thought that you really cared about helping women and children with the things they need - (health care, social services, nutrition, etc.) - *THEN* we could have a conversation with you. But with all the things we've talked about for 50 years, we CAN'T."

(47,455 posts)It isn't "small government" that they really want, it is THEIR version of government that they are aiming for and it is often very intrusive and restrictive for the average person. "Freedom and lower taxes for me, but not for thee."

(47,455 posts)assume that republicans are lying is rather disturbing, especially when journalists just accept it as inevitable. Many of them have just quit challenging the obvious lies, probably because everyone knows they're lying. So why bother? Of course, I think Chuck Todd may have learned why HE should bother!
It brings to mind how everyone knew Trump was lying pretty much all the time, even his most ardent supporters. As a result people stopped calling him on his lies - "You know, it's just Trump being Trump".

(53,778 posts)they should be." What a quaint, pre-historic notion.
Did that imbecile really say that on top of all the fall out from the leaked Alito draft? How tone deaf and insensitive to women can someone get. But he's a republican, and obviously has no clue and is holding on to the same 17th century notions about women and their bodies as Alito and the rest of their antiquated party.
My take is that women, and only women should be the ones to vote and make decisions about abortion.
Period.

Before elected officials got involved, women terminated pregnancies. Some women died.

Women and only women should make medical decisions for themselves.
Women are pissed.
All the insecure little men like Graham should be deathly afraid, and they know it.

(19,201 posts)as well. What's the purpose of sporting wood if not for procreation? There is absolutely no reason for a male erection other than creating a child, and "recreational" sex should be controlled by elected officials.
Only elected officials should permit intercourse, issue coitus licenses, and have special sex enforcement officers with no-knock warrants busting down doors to make sure no one is breaking the state's sex laws.
Unmarried males must register their dicks and provide DNA samples. Unwarranted use of an unregistered dick is punishable by a minimum of nine months prison sentence and $10,000 fine. Notice AND, not OR.
Let's see how that washes with Congressional men, OK?
Let's take this to it's ridicilous conclusion if they want to be such puritanical nitwits. 🤪
We have to get them to admit that it's all about controlling women and then we have them by the short hairs, so to speak.

So GOTV. Voting May not even save us from this packed unconstitutional Supreme Court.
I did not move to Costa Rica for political reasons but I am so glad Im here. This Catholic country has more empathy for things the religion doesnt allow than any US zealot.
