No point in arguing with an idiot unless you have witnesses and a place to run after they pull out their gun. But if you are in a good place to argue, and it might make a difference, here is the easy path.

Ignore the sins and evil they are projecting to all politician. All you have to do is start naming the good things that Republicans have opposed. You have to look with crazy bias glasses to find any good thing the Republicans were for, that the majority of Democrats were against.

Go positive and all they can say is taxes and birth control. Right now both of those are damn easy targets to shoot down.
