campaign against women. These guys want women to shut up and just quietly go back to 1950 so the men can get back their exalted positions at home and at work.
It's the whole package not just controlling abortion.
That's the issue that will ultimately bring these awful men down.
It doesn't matter what dumb laws these assholes pass. Women are not going to go backward. I lived through the '50s and '60s. And you know what? We just got around their stupid laws. We may have to do it again.
I am feeling like these assholes have finally gone so far out with their bullshit that they are going to be looking at a terrific groundswell of totally fed up women. I hope so.

(53,780 posts)to the '50s. That ship has sailed and if the PTB in the repub party think they're going to be able to put progress in reverse, they will find out differently even if they strike down Roe v Wade in the next few weeks.
The push back will be so powerful they won't know what hit them. They're severly underestimating what's coming.

(19,066 posts)Seriously, this is all about controlling women. They're about a moment away from requiring a mail chaperone for women to leave the house. Next up will be head and face coverings for women.
Abortion isn't what they have a problem with, women having more power and autonomy is.

(5,842 posts)There have been countless stories over the last few years about girls being punished for wearing tank tops because "they distract the boys."
How about teaching the little fuckers to see women as people rather than sex objects?
School dress codes come down to not "distracting" boys. But no one ever tells the mothers and fathers of these boys that they need to bring them up to respect girls as equal human beings, do they?
In the same vein, rape victims are asked what they were wearing, what did they have to drink, were they flirtatious, as if it is not the fault of men who can't control themselves and who can't see women as people.
I predict they will pass laws that say pregnant women can't work, with the lie that it's all to "protect the fetus." They'll force us to have to carry a pregnancy and they'll take our jobs.

Not a set uniform pensé, just a color palate. They dont have style anxiety and trend worship here.

(18,868 posts)Women are really pissed off about all of this shit. It's like there is a huge groundswell building out there.
I lived in Salt Lake City in the '60s. Nothing was legal. It didn't matter. Everyone just did what they wanted anyway. We were just quiet about it.
I am not feeling like women are going to be quiet about this. I know I'm not. I may need a wheelchair but I will be out there . It will be just like the good old days when we carried our Peace Signs and wore flowers in our hair.
Bring It On Motherfuckers. You can take your stupid laws and cram them up your ass.
