A Simple Solution: Stop Using the Word, "Abortion"

Talk about constitutional rights for women. Talk about equality. Talk about liberty. Talk about freedom.

Don't talk about pro-abortion or anti-abortion. Don't talk about abortion bans. Don't talk about an abortion march. Don't use the word, "abortion".

It is not about abortion.

It is about equal rights for women under the Constitution of the United States.

If Democrats want to have better "messaging", this would be a good place to start, in my humble opinion.

It worked, for awhile; but the Supreme Court seems about to say that women don't have equal rights under the Constitution. We've been trying to get the Equal Rights Amendment ratified for almost 100 years now...

The word does not need to be shuttled off somewhere as if it is shameful and shouldn't be spoken. It is not shameful. It is a human right to choose if and when to have children, and part of that human right includes abortion.

Abortion is not shameful. Don't treat the word as if it is.

There is power in saying the word abortion. Not saying it is allowing the anti-choice side to win. THEY think it's shameful. Don't let them dictate what words we use!

Say the word: ABORTION. Say what it is: A HUMAN RIGHT. CHOICE IS A HUMAN RIGHT. DENYING CHOICE STRIPS ME OF MY HUMANITY.

Polls that ask about support for abortion show that people in America do support abortion.

The other side has made the word shameful. Let's take it back. I am sick to death of the other side dictating how we say things. Don't give in. Say it loud and say it proud: I SUPPORT ABORTION.

I'm not afraid to say the word. It does not mean I don't understand that choice means bodily autonomy. Saying the word does not mean I don't get that they're taking my rights away. It means all those things and more and I won't let them take language from me as if using the word is shameful.

I just won't let them make the word dirty. Saying it takes the shame out of it.

I'm not afraid to use "human" for the following argument.

Because if I remove a human from inside my body and then do what is medically indicated to try and keep him alive how can I be charged with murder?

Even if I invite a human into my house, I have the right to remove him. How more so the human body? If he dies outside and I've done what I can to help him survive why would I be charged with murder?

A 15 week fetus won't survive, but a 32 week would normally survive with some assistance. But even if a 15 week fetus does survive as long as you do what is medically possible, why should it be murder?

This would be a different procedure than what is usually done. And not necessarily a more humane one, but one that avoids murder IMO.

People want reformed police, they don't want to do away with policing. Something so absolutely lame sky rockets to a meme that sticks forever, and creates a mountain of distractions of the ultimate point.

Sometimes I wonder how come we come up with such obviously ineffective language to communicate our intent.

just proves how disorganized we are as a party and why we get caught in these lame circle jerk "discussions" on mainstream media.
