New York State Republican Congressman Tom Reed was among the first to call for Governor Cuomo to resign and be charged with sex crimes before there was an investigation by AG Letitia James. He called Cuomo "disgusting and shameful."

Then it came out that a young woman in her 20s was groped in a lounge by a drunken Reed. He had unhooked her bra from behind and started fondling her thighs while she was with a group of representatives of her company who had met with Reed as lobbyists for their company. She had to get help from the bartender and men in her group to get him away from her and escort him out of the building.

She reported it to her supervisor immediately, asking how to deal with it. There were all the witnesses in the lounge, too.

When it was revealed, Reed initially responded with a statement that the reporting of the incident was not accurate. Eventually he gave a limp, non apology that blamed his "disorder" of alcoholism.

But he did withdraw from candidacy for New York governor and said that he would not run for Congress again.

This drunken sex predator is still serving out his current term in Congress.

I suppose that it doesn't hurt to point out that both sides are guilty of molesting children, but I'm not sure that it does us much good.
