Said Drazkowski: “We should let parents raise their kids until they’re 5 at least before government comes with a school bus, backs it up to the maternity ward room door and takes them to the government school.”

free childcare pays for itself with increased government revenue and employed career women, not to mention children who are more well adjusted. All things the GOP is against.

upping the ante

It's sort of like drug addiction- they get high on doing this stuff and over time they need to do more and more bad stuff to maintain the high. That and, of course, keeping the rubes voting for them.
