have a different definition of what nazi means than everyone else because Western liberals/democracies are obviously not nazis.

The Russians know that "nazi" is a word loaded with all kinds on negative connotations from their experience with the actual nazis who attack their country in WWll so labeling their targets and perceived enemies with the word is very useful to them.

They have for the most part control of the information silos in the country so it works pretty well, but cracks are begin to show, especially with younger, tech-savvy Russians who find other info sources than the state- sponsored ones.
