and the difference.

Trump 2016, certainly does not seem like a direct threat, unless you understand what he campainged on. He campaigned on hatred of immigrant of a certain type, hatred of LGBTQ people, and "making America Great" which has been a not so subtle code for keeping America White. He encouraged his supporters to "knock the hell" out of protestors and said he was going to "end crime" presumably by going after Black and Brown people who he implied, commit all the crime. He said people from the "inner city (Black people) were going to "invade the suburbs (where the White people live). He also said (granted it was before the election) that you can "grab em by the pussy" and had 20+ allegations of doing just that, so his record with women was not great.

“Susie, please, Mainers want WHPA —–> vote yes, clean up your mess,” This was drawn on the sidewalk near Collins' house. Collins has famously been "concerned" with things but when it actually came to protecting women, Black people, poor people, etc... When it came to choosing a Supreme Court Justice who would respect "stare decisis" she choose all of Trump's picks who had NO intention of doing so. There is no implication of violence, no threat, just a "please" clean up the mess you made when you voted to confirm all these horrible judges.

Are you saying that the reactions are equal? That the people in the two stories have equal power in society? Equal access to protection and security?

I hope the Collins family avoid driving over the chalk and leaving a mark, as we have established that using using your car as intended, but leaving a mark on street graffiti we like, is vandalism.

Sometimes we really like our chalk.

Collins has no cognitive self awareness…she voted against repealing Obamacare and she was applauded and cheered when she walked thru the Maine airport .. I suppose that one momentary attack of conscience for doing the right thing and the praise that followed does not compute in her wasteland of a mind ...but voting aye for a boozed up profane sexual predator that she gets..

And I’ll tell you why. This is her thing, a big issue comes up and she waffles and hem haws. Then she votes like the GQP she is and THEN she pretends she got fooled.
The only ones who are fooled are those who believe the old backstabber. She’s had years to perfect her con and she’s got it down pat.
She’s worse than some of the male gop because she’s so slick and believable but never forget that she’s one ruthless THING!

I really hope that no one was in need of serious help from those officers during that time.

Jeebus, she called LEO for this chalk protest after she voted to confirm an alleged sex abuser on the Supreme court. It doesn't even appear to be on her property.

The Republicans were hoping Putin would make quick work of the Ukrainian invasion, so that they could wring their hands and cry how much they wanted a free Democratic Ukraine while patting Putin on the back and taking his money. Now that the Ukrainians are having none of it, and the world is cheering for them, they don‘t know whom to side with— the heroic freedom fighters or the money.

Hint—the money usually wins out.

Total permanent autocratic power. Confiscation of US assets.

And Putin's help getting them "elected."

The GOP probably doesn't mind the Ukraine war all that much. The US military industrial complex is going to have a huge $$$ windfall as a result, some of which will be funneled into GOP campaign funds.
