The Left has extraordinary talent and resources. Why isn't someone building the next, better iteration of Twitter right this goddamned minute, so that OG Twitter can fall into the sewer, taking Musk's billions with it?
The application itself is incredibly simple to code. It just needs to appear at the crucial moment--hint: NOW--so that at least half the population of OGT can smoothly transit to New Twitter in an instant.
The solution is pelucid as can be. Who will step forward?
Or, we can all just continuously complain.

(43,214 posts)That's why there were no other bidders, and why no one will build one. Maybe they can move to a pay model, but that cuts down on the user base.

Elon paid an arm and a leg and I doubt he'll make much from it.
