The View host Whoopi Goldberg shut down guest co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin during a fiery segment on abortion rights, telling her, It doesnt matter what you think about when life begins, its up to each woman to choose based on their own beliefs. ....
Farah Griffin then tried to start a philosophical debate about when a fetus develops rights, but Goldberg and the other co-hosts were not having it: ....
WHOOPI GOLDBERG: Listen. I dont have, I dont have to tell you
JOY BEHAR: Its none of your business.
WHOOPI GOLDBERG: Its your decision, what you do with your body and how your family works, and for me. I dont care what your religious beliefs are. ....

(1,514 posts)If I've said this once, I've said it five or nine times... You can't spell Evangelical without the letters E, V, I, & L.
This came out in 2006 but I believe it's applicable today.

(21,571 posts)Anti choice arguments are based on their own beliefs. They are so dogmatic and fanatical about it that they insist that everyone adhere to their view. To do that, they intend to codify their religious beliefs as law. That is a violation of the first amendment.
They are forcing their religious beliefs on others, through the courts and legislators.

(2,149 posts)Which says life begins at first breath, and, in Numbers, says when it is OK for a woman to abort and how to do it. The antis are making it all up out of nothing but "their beliefs". Well I believe they anti abortionists should all be cleansed in the river and they should all be thrown in..

(1,654 posts)If I say no, no one could force me to donate. You cannot force a prisoner in jail to donate his/her organs. The State to force a woman to carry a pregnancy to birth is imposing a religious belief on her.

(28,810 posts)it's about politics. he'll sacrifice his son on the altar of republicanism, or is it trumpism, or is it qanon. who knows.
he's on board with the doctors caring for his son, cutting his body open and taking an organ out of it, cutting his son's body open and removing an organ then replacing it with the one they cut out of his body...but they don't know what they're talking about when they tell him to get a shot. as the article on SAV says, make it make sense.

(1,654 posts)Because of their "rights" to control what happens to their bodies, them having the right to cross infect the rest of the country, because it's "their bodies, their rights." What makes them think they have all the rights but the rest of us don't? Because they're Republicans.

Gee - maybe like the forced birthers want, they should force this guy to get a shot and give up a kidney.

(20,209 posts)Therefore, to outlaw abortion because it is your religious belief that life begins at conception is a blatant violation of the first amendment.
