Real Time with Bill Maher guests - Friday, May 13, 2022

Real Time with Bill Maher continues its 20th season Friday, May 13 (10:00-11:00 p.m. live ET/tape-delayed PT), with a replay at 11:30 p.m., exclusively on HBO.

This week features a one-on-one interview with Rod Stewart, legendary two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Famer who will be launching his North American summer tour, The Hits, this Friday in Las Vegas.

This week's in-studio panel discussion will include Ian Bremmer, President of Eurasia Group and author of the new book, The Power of Crisis: How Three Threats – And Our Response – Will Change The World; and Jane Harman, who served for six terms in the U.S. House of Representatives and is now a Distinguished Fellow and President Emerita of The Wilson Center.

Well, it's pretty much set in stone what Bill's for or against, or do you mean if he weighs in Rhiannon12866 May 2022 #4

I was surprised by Rod Stewart, I don't think of him as political, but he'll certainly be entertaining.

We've become sort of annoyed at the same things that continually stick in Maher's craw. It occurred to me we could make it more fun by creating bingo cards where the spaces were marked with those topics or complaints that have become so trite. The pot jokes, American diets, vaccines, wokeness, cancel culture, etc.

On any particular topic? I did notice in the Overtime segment two weeks ago, which I was looking forward to with Ali Velshi and Doug Jones, that Bill kinda shut things down when these two really smart guys took over the topic. Bill is pro-pot, definitely got vaccinated which is the reason he didn't experience symptoms when he contracted Covid (and now he tends to dismiss it as no big deal). And he's definitely extremely critical of American diets. Sounds like you could have an entertaining game...
