What happened at the court was tremendously bad, Thomas said in a conversation with a former law clerk at a conference of conservative and libertarian thinkers in Dallas. I wonder how long were going to have these institutions at the rate were undermining them. And then I wonder when theyre gone or destabilized, what were going to have as a country.
It was second time in a week that Thomas has decried declining respect for institutions he made similar remarks at a conference of judges and lawyers last week.

(63,232 posts)Statements like this will benefit his wife financially while also riling up the drooling kkkonservatives who feel that the SCOTUS is the military arm of their war on woke culture.
Incidentally, Im betting that Ginny was the source of the leak and that Clarence knows it, so hes playing both sides here.

(14,990 posts)We will also never know whether the Republican partisans on the Court would have made the same decision if it had been George W. Bush, and not Al Gore, who needed the Florida recount to become President. But we can certainly make an educated guess. Mark S. Brodin

But lets start with this one, Clarence:
The third, broadly, line of work is deconstruction of the administrative state. ... If you look at these cabinet appointees, they were selected for a reason and that is the deconstruction. - Steve Bannon at CPAC.
Trump had been president for all of 35 days.
