condition of the shooters as a means to stop gun violence. None, nada, Zero would even answer a question about let alone give a voluntary solution to the issue of curbing gun violence. Nothing about controlling access to guns, registrations, controlling ammunition type, magazines etc. NOTHING!! The GOP and other gun humpers care about human life. Just their power to kill.

(12,682 posts)He was determined to be mentally competent enough to keep or purchase long guns, after being accused of threatening to shoot up his school graduation.
Guess youthful fits of pique are not enough to be considered mental health issues.
At least for White male youth.

(2,947 posts)gun control to campaign on the fact that only "X" more Ds are needed in Congress to pass meaningful gun reform and remind people to vote D if they want an end to gun violence.
Roe cannot be the only campaign issue that gets coverage.

(1,760 posts)anything from Republicans about registration requirements or magazine capacity restrictions because they oppose such measures.
And Republicans know theres no political will in Congress for new firearm regulatory measures.
Moreover, Republicans know that this conservative Supreme Court would strike down AWBs and magazine bans even if they were somehow passed.
Indeed, the Supreme Court is poised to strike down New Yorks may issue provision of its concealed carry law, allowing anyone to carry a concealed firearm regardless of justification or need.

(6,838 posts)their idol Ronald Reagan hadn't cut mental health funding, closed all the facilities, maybe there would be places for people to actually get help.

(22,174 posts)were so protective, so needed as they (GOP) seem to push all of the time, then where were those that are carrying, etc. a gun in order to protect all of these victims? Where?
They (GOP thugs) preach all to the heavens about the endless benefits of gun ownership but fail miserably on the perils of gun ownership (like the racist nut, probably a GOP operative that killed all of those innocent victims).
Doesn't the everyday run of the mill man, woman, child on the streets of the US deserve some protection against such evils, and not have to carry a weapon? Doesn't society as a whole deserve protection against these white supremacists and their wanton violence (YES!).
It's time to start really getting into these white supremacist groups and start cracking down how they get so emboldened to do such horrible crimes to a fellow human being. The GOP as your post states, is worthless and has continued to be worthless, nowhere to be found when needed w/ their 'guns' to so call defend the rest of us. I remember when our EX-president said that they were good people on both sides of this issue. How pathetic. I am so glad that this POS is gone.

(51,025 posts)us can do nothing against the lobbies that protect their hobby. Also, the ones who call themselves Democrats are empowering all the republiQans who pander to the second amendment nonsense. Those responsible Democratic gun owners are getting republiQans elected in every election. They may not vote for them, but they spread the message about "gun grabbers" and "gun liberteh."
The only ones who can make a change in this situation are all those responsible gun owners. If any of them was actually responsible, they would be loudly demanding changes that would prevent their hobby from causing grisly murders every single day of the year.
But none of them is actually responsible. They're just fine with all that blood on their hands.
