McConnell and the rest of his ilk know that the people that vote for him do NOT look at voting records or pay attention to what the republicans actually do. They just look at photos, memes, and listen to sound bites.

My guess is that they have internal polling that they were losing support by not supporting Ukraine. Paul - helped that along with his antics this last week.
I think the Repugs are starting to realize that Nov ain't gonna be easy for them and they are looking to do things to make themselves look better to the American People.
