in other states. While I tended to merely ignore these emails, letters, or texts, I am currently letting them know that I wish NOT to be included in any recruitment efforts to states whose policies reflect inequality. Specifically, those who are enacting laws based on ideology or perverted interpretation of religion that excludes women's autonomy over their own existence--their lives, their livelihoods, their bodies. I add that the very existence of corporate trends announcing benefits for paid travel elsewhere to try to ensure some level of equality for their female employees will soon be subsumed by additional regressive laws and policies outlawing contraception, IVF, and gay marriage. I end by stating their firm may want to join with other businesses and corporations to start addressing the regressive policies in Republican-held states or shut up shop entirely in those states.
