Please support progressive Summer Lee. She's for Medicare-for-All.
Her opponent Steve Irwin:
- Worked for a law firm as a union buster.
- Worked for US Senator Arlen Specter when Specter was a Republican.
- Donated to US Senator Pat Toomey (R-PA).
- Opposed a Pittsburgh bill for paid sick leave.

She claimed ads were lying that said she didn't support Biden.
But her own words, again say otherwise.
So voters are to trust her word over proof?

No thanks. We have too many of this type of pols already.
The internet lives forever, someone should tell her.
I have seen enough of her.
Stick with Irwin, who supports our Dem President & Dem Party without snarky side notes.
2022 will require all the unity & support in voting against RW policies.
Protest votes show us who you are, as well.
Please do your research on who your candidates really are.
Thanks anyway.

(15,325 posts)It's flat out lie. She refused to say His & Harris's name.
That's not criticisim. That's an immature hostile smear against our Democratic Party.
Biden has appointed more racially diverse Women & Men of color to his Cabinet, the SC & Federal judgeships than any other President.
Fact.
Why is she resorting to lying?
Nope. We don't need another one.

(35,619 posts)...regarding healthcare and labor rights and the answer is Summer Lee.
She wrote some tweets during the 2020 presidential primary which were too negative about Joe Biden. That isn't what people should base their votes on.
Budi
(15,325 posts)Irwin also promises to fight for voters
...regarding healthcare and labor rights
And he didn't lie & smear the reputation of the most racially & gender diverse President, just to grab a slice of the electorate.

(35,619 posts)So we shouldn't trust that Irwin will fight for us.
Summer Lee didn't know during the primary how diverse the Biden admin would be.

This Guy? Did she miss these 8 years?

She didn't know that Biden spent 8 years carrying the load, next to THIS guy?
Wtf.
Here's more of those 'racist' Bidens!

(83,922 posts)USW District 10 becomes latest union to support Democrat Steve Irwin in 12th District primary race
Steve Irwin is someone we can trust to protect our jobs and fight for families here in the Mon Valley, said Bernie Hall, director of USW District 10. Steve understands that both family-sustaining jobs and a clean environment are necessary and attainable. We believe Steve can be the responsible voice in the room, leading the way to finding solutions that not only benefit our members but the entire region.
Mr. Irwin, a partner at the Leech Tishman law firm in Pittsburgh, has already received endorsements from four other well-connected, Democrat-friendly unions.
The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 5, Iron Workers Local 3, Boilermakers Local 154 and Steamfitters Local 449 are all backing Mr. Irwins candidacy for the 12th Congressional District, which the retiring Mr. Doyle now represents.
Perhaps you should inform these huge unions of his being a union buster.

Biden's not a Racist.
Irwin's not a Union Buster.
In fact Irwin's strong Union endorsements prove he is their strongest supporter.
Thanks.

For at least a decade, Irwin oversaw the Labor & Employment division at Leech Tishman, a law firm that states they provide union avoidance services, a common euphemism for what union organizers label union-busting.

(15,325 posts)Cannot believe anyone on the political field does not know this about Joe Biden.
It was long before he even entered the Primary!
Pays to do some research before blurting out slanderous accusations, which one clearly knows nothing about.
Here. Pass this on to the people Ms Lee has convinced Joe Biden is a 'Raciist'.
Just so they know the truth that the rest of us know.
"Watching this 1986 clip, which features Biden tearing into former Secretary of State George Schulz for his refusal to condemn the apartheid government of South Africa. Watching this, its impossible to escape the conviction that Biden has a moral core, a fundamental belief that the U.S. government should stand against all forms of racism and oppression.
Thanks. That baseless insult better be made right.

(145,567 posts)I love the attacks on real democrats being called "corporate" democrats and other such names. I am amused by the fact that the Justice Democrats are crying for money in every one of these emails and complaining about mean super pacs formed by Hakeem Jeffries and other real democrats spending money to defeat the Justice Democrats.
I have been following the Justice Democrats and its predecessor and affiliates for a while including the "brand new congress group" and other groups created by Waleed Shahid, Cenk, Kyle Kulinksi and their ilk. I am on the Justice Democrat email list and I have even listened once or twice to the Justice Democrat podcast which is amusingly called "Just Us" democrats. The Justice Democrats emails are fun to laugh at and I love the hatred this group shows to the Democratic Party, establishment Democrats and best of all corporate democrats. The posts attacking the DCCC for raising money to elect real Democrats are really amusing.
I have been following a number of posters on twitter who dislike the Justice Democrats who have issues with the concept of the Justice Democrat group wanting to take over the Democratic party and remake into their image.
Link to tweet
This poster is not the only person who has issues with the concept that the Justice Democrats want to take over the Democratic Party
Link to tweet
Again, the above posts are consistent with the hatred of the Democratic Party by the Justice Democrat group that I see on the almost daily emails that I get from the Justice Democrats.
If you want to learn more about the Justice Democrats just enter "Just Us Democrats" in the search function of twitter.
I am hoping that Mr, Irwin wins today and we do not get another Just Us Democrat who will be out to destroy the Democratic Party

(145,567 posts)I am amused by these emails. Here is part of the email
We are up against the corporate political establishments unlimited spending. The establishment has spent millions and millions to stop Justice Democrats this cycle, because Wall Street, corporate-funded Super PACs, and CEOs are terrified of our bold progressive vision.
Super PACs are spending millions to stop our candidates because the establishment wants to protect the status quo.
Wall Street donors and their Super PACs dont want fighters for Medicare for All, a Green New Deal and labor rights in Congress. The corporate political establishment wants to keep business as usual Congress catering to corporate profits, not the people.
These Super PACs are spending against Justice Democrats more than weve ever seen before, because they're afraid of us changing the political landscape in Washington.
We must fight back against the establishments attacks.
Regular Democrats are not interested in the destruction of the Democratic Party. The Just Us types want to destroy the Democratic Party and rebuild it in their own image. I am not in favor of the destruction of the Democratic Party and I do not trust this group to rebuild the party after it was destroyed.

He also is endorsed by Mike Doyle, who has been our Representative since 1995.
