The underlying intrinsic racism of WRT drives the push among some conservatives against discussing history from a racial POV and trying to obscure topics such as slavery, Reconstruction, etc such as is currently present in our history books. CRT is a "boogeyman" for WRT believers and "racist fellow travelers," and is being used as the 5 minutes of hate was used in "1984."
