I returned my PA mail in ballot to the local drop box yesterday. The status of my ballot just changed to Vote Recorded, which I assume means everything is all done.

(65,180 posts)This thread is also for posting how the voting went. I voted for Fetterman, Shapiro, Dean, Muth, Webster, etc. Unfortunately made a mistake and voted for Sosa for Lieutenant Governor. Saw there was no ability to erase without requesting another ballot.

Except I did vote for Austin. Worked the Dem table. There were some real extreme people there for the other side.

(65,180 posts)That extremeness on the other side should be a joke but it isnt. Its a very real danger.

But in the Aussie upcoming election.

(82,849 posts)Love vote-by-mail. Turnout is currently at a low 22.5% statewide, but this is the first election where Oregon has made the deadline as post-marked today. Previously, a voter had to put the ballot in the mail by the preceding Friday or leave it in a drop box or give it to a poll-worker by 8 p.m. on Election Day. I think a lot of voters are waiting until today to put their ballots in the mail. Final numbers will probably be closer to 60% turnout.

Fetterman, Sims, was directed to write in a Dem (nobody officially ran) to oppose our execrable Repug state rep.

(15,290 posts)Fetterman, Shapiro, Davis(Shapiro's choice for lt gov), Delusio for PA17, Castor for state rep and write in for local Dem committee person.
Had a real nice chat with the R candidate for PA17 who was campaigning in person outside the poll. Asked if she was one of the crazy Rs, but turned out she isn't. Her two primary opponents are whackos so it will be interesting to see how she does.

(4,221 posts)Received a confirmation email on the 4th. Relieved I didnt have to go to the poll and run the gauntlet of trumpy people handing out fliers. Supposedly last year the trumpers were recording people at the drop box at the county building. My god theyre paranoid and everywhere here.
