How?

Same question for Louisiana.

Both states are as Red as you can get. Both states elect repubs for Senate Every Single Time. Both states voted for TFG by a wide margin.

How did a Democrat win in both states for the Governor's race?

1) Kentucky gubernatorial elections are held in off years. Turnout is less than it would be on a normal election year. That means a lower republican turnout that Democrats were able to take advantage of.

2) Trump was president and Democrats were motivated.

I suspect the corrosive effects of the hate am radio blasting for 35+ years and now Russian backed social media and f*x . I don’t know how to dissolve this hard pan that had compacted the social conscience.

Rand Paul AND Mitch McConnell. Does it get any worse than that?

WTF is wrong with the people in that state? They are either masochistic idiots or the vote is rigged.

are making a good showing for being the worst - think Tom Cotton and John Boozman. The only difference is that McConnell and Paul get more attention, although our boy Tom is working hard for all the attention he can get.

the amount of sheer power McConnell has and the damage he has done (and Paul is slimy, creepy, loathsome and way too visible) not to mention how cozy they both are with Putin and company, I would have to give Kentucky the edge in the "Worst of the Worst" contest.

Although you guys are making a good showing, I honestly think the red states are trying to outdo each other for who can elect the most evil, loathsome politicians ever in the history of the world. I can't believe my own eyes and ears sometimes.

I suspect that the majority of Senators could not identify Boozman in a line-up. He is a complete cipher whose only job is to be a reliable GQP vote. The only time he has bucked the GQP leadership was to vote against funding for Ukraine.

Boozman is an idiot but Paul is not. (Paul is crazy but not stupid.) That makes Paul the more dangerous and therefore in the lead for worst.

Florida has Rubio, Scott, and DeSantis. Arkansas has Cotton and Sarah "Smokey Eyes" Huckabee Sanders. On balance, Florida may be ahead of Arkansas in the race to the bottom, even if by just a little.
