ATLANTA, Ga. (CBS46) - Marjorie Taylor Greene is back in the headlines after reportedly voting against a bill that would help low-income mothers access baby formula during a national shortage.
Greene was one of 9 Republicans who voted against the Access to Baby Formula Act on Wednesday.
The bill would allow low-income women to buy more baby formula through the Women, Infant and Children (WIC) program. The bill received bipartisan support in a House vote.
The bill would also require formula makers to protect against disruptions in supply in the event of a recall.

(18,672 posts)There is a woman at my work begging for baby formula and so a lot of us are going to go hunting for it this weekend. I can't imagine what new mothers are going through. These people are evil. They say they care about a fetus but have no problem starving millions of babies or killing women. The Slav part of my DNA wants to reign curses down on them.

(2,357 posts)In early 2022, Greene said that under a provision of a state law, several Georgia electors had filed papers seeking to remove her from the 2022 Republican primary ballot as unqualified for office. Electors alleged she had been involved in assisting the 2021 United States Capitol attack. On April 1, 2022, Greene filed a federal lawsuit in which she vigorously denied the allegations and sought to have the law blocked as unconstitutional. The law allows a candidate to be removed from a ballot after review by an administrative law judge and the Georgia Secretary of State.[343][344] A federal judge denied her challenge on April 18, requiring her to give evidence four days later.[345] She testified for three hours on April 22. On May 6, the judge ruled that she was eligible for reelection, but the final decision belongs to Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger.[346]

(32,724 posts)We have open primaries in GA. I know it's a choice between bad and worse but she is completely unfit to hold office.
