But that would require tremendous political courage, as it would surely enrage the companies, who would then retaliate by giving millions to the fascists who would such court actions.

Proving collusion among them could change things, but in reality, collusion often effectively happens without anyone technically colluding, just by having everyone regularly move to maintain their relative pricing status relative to the market leaders.

But back to the point at hand... Consolidation has been going on for a long time, and there are probably 3 or 4 companies controlling the majority of EVERY major business sector.

elaborate global supply chains exploiting cheap labor, all to placate a tiny class of shareholders controlling the world economy, and passing that accumulated wealth onto their ne'er do well offspring, destined to fuck it up even more.

they all are shitty businesses when they’re small. That’s why you don’t get a lot of new entrants in these spaces with potential to build into a bigger player.
