2. Oz could be more beatable in the general election because he's such a crackpot,

and there's also the issue of his voting in a Turkish election. The other guy has better professional credentials. But, on the other hand, in today's GOP being a crackpot with allegiances to dodgy foreign governments is a feature rather than a bug - so who knows??

3. Oz has dual citizenship...personally I don't think he should even be allowed to run.

How could a Oz be a member of the US Senate when he also holds citizenship in Turkey?

On top of all you mentioned, he's pals with Oprah Winfrey, who is considered evil incarnate with that crowd. Back a few weeks ago, at the Trump/Oz rally, a bunch of them turned their backs on him while he was talking. I'm surprised the race came out this close. If he does pull it off, here's hoping the ones who voted for the other guy get disgusted and stay home in the general.

Which is another reason they turned their backs on him at that rally. But, yeah. With the rest, Dear Leader approves, so that's all that matters. If he does win the nomination, however, it will likely hurt him with regards to the other candidates' voters. Kathy Barnette flat-out expressed her disdain for Muslims, and I'm betting the vast majority of her supporters share her hatred. She got a quarter of the vote. I suspect that it's also a part of the reason people voted for McCormick, too. I'm not so sure his having an "R" after his name will be enough to overcome him being Muslim with many in that crowd.
