That's been the standard for active shooters for a couple decades now. You don't wait for backup. You rush in and engage the shooter asap.

Faced charges of neglect of a child, culpable negligence and perjury and was ultimately charged with 7 counts of child neglect w/ great bodily harm, etc as faced 97 years in jail. I just found this on google n will see if I can find out what has happened to him since. Of course this was Florida so maybe Texas is different.

9. No they did not. The ran into the guy along the way and the good guys with guns failed.

The guy went into the room, barricaded in a classroom of kids and cops waited for a tactical team. Shooting happened and cops waited outside.
