In March, McLaughlin appeared on Fox News on May 21 to talk about Title 42 and said the Hispanic community, which makes up about 72% of Uvalde's population, was "fed up."

McLaughlin also has made appearances on "Tucker Carlson Tonight" and talked about the immigration issue. On Sept. 23, 2021, McLaughlin called Biden's policy a "clown show."
