Didn't the NRA hold a convention in Colorado, shortly after the Columbine school massacre?

I don't know why, but while watching the news my brain brought out an image of Charlton Heston. AND an outcry about the convention being held.

The 2018 annual NRA convention was held in Dallas three months after the Parkland, Florida shootings (not a week after). But it is true that the NRA went ahead with its annual meeting in Denver less than two weeks after Columbine.
