Time to drop the filibuster..Rant On!!

1, The filibuster is not in constitution!

2. It has been used forever as a stalling mechanism by the party out of power..

3. Yes Democrats have used it too .. many times.. Republican's swing it like a weapon now.. but Democrats have been reticent to move beyond it out of fear of having nothing to stop the Republicans when they get back in power..

4. Well we have moved past that.. We held on to it for Voting Rights, Woman's Rights.. because these have been under non stop attack.. Looks like to me, the Supreme Court is going to do that for them (the Trumplicans)

5. So I see no purpose for it, other than giving a Senate Republican group who has a lot of its people bow down to the Russian backed Trumplicans... and use it to destroy our Democracy.

Rant Off!!

The filibuster could very well soon be the only thing stopping that from happening

It will be settled law and the Republicans won't be able to repeal it at that point...

Unless “codify” means “amend the constitution” then it’s flat wrong.

Any law passed by this congress can be repealed by the next.

On edit - just noticed the eye roll. Apologies for jumping

But without the filibuster there’s nothing protecting the laws we pass, except continuing to elect Democratic majorities..,

And add in balancing the SC by adding some to it.. maybe get things done... But they keep laying their games with it.
