AIPAC super PAC funnels millions in dark money to attack progressive candidates in Democratic races

Intent on keeping the influence of the growing pro-Palestinian rights movement in the U.S. to a minimum in Congress, the powerful American Israel Public Affairs Committee is pulling out all the stops to defeat progressive candidates including state Rep. Summer Lee in Pennsylvania's 12th District, where voters are going to the polls Tuesday.

As The Intercept reported late Monday, a super PAC started last year by AIPAC called the United Democracy Project (UDP) has spent more than $2.3 million on the district's Democratic primary race.

About $100,000 from the group has gone to support attorney Steve Irwin while a majority of the ads UDP has paid for have attacked Lee as someone who only "calls herself a Democrat" due to her criticism of President Joe Biden during the 2020 primary race.

According to liberal pro-Israel group J Street, UDP has attempted to conceal its connection to AIPAC by attacking Lee's positions on issues unrelated to Palestinian rights, such as her support for Medicare for All.

handful of posters keep posting that account on DU, giving them a voice here, which, given many of their attack stances on good Dems and Dem caucus members, is extremely problematic.

Using the same transactional methodology, one could post Fox News or some other RW source when they attack and bash Warren or Raskin or Porter or Sanders or AOC or Tish James, etc etc, simply because that person posting does not like those people politically and uses Fox or another dodgy source as a weapon of attack.

That account openly says that AOC, Sanders, Khanna, etc are Russian/Kremlin assets and stooges. That account openly called Sanders a Russian asset when he calls out American oligarchy.

I have also been following the attacks by the Justice Democrats on people who disagree with their plan to destroy the Democratic Party. I have been following the Justice Democrats and its predecessor and affilaites for a while including the "brand new congress group" and other groups created by Cenk, Kyle Kulinksi, Waleed Shadid, and their ilk. I am on the Justice Democrat email list and I have even listened once or twice to the Justice Democrat podcast which is amusingly called "Just Us" democrats. The Justice Democrats emails are fun to laugh at and I love the hatred this group shows to the Democratic Party, establishment Democrats and best of all corporate democrats. The posts attacking the people who disagree with the plans of the Just Us Democrats to destroy and rebuild the Democratic Party are very amusing.

I have been following a number of posters on twitter who dislike the Justice Democrats who have issues with the concept of the Justice Democrat group wanting to take over the Democratic party and remake into their image.
