The only people shouting and raising their voices were the phat phucks on stage desperate to make this about anything but easy access to military style weapons of war. No needs a handgun. No needs a semi-automatic rifle. I can't buy liquor as a 50+ year old without going to an ABC store, but an 18 yer old can buy multiple firearms designed to mow down people.

That's not self defense. That's not hunting (neither of which are in their precious 2A).That's not a militia. That's murder.

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

If you want to belong to a well regulated Militia, fine. Join your local Militia, take your weapons to the Armory and store them securely in the Militia Arms Room, and for your Saturday morning muster, go down there, draw your weapons and ammunition, conduct the day's training, and at the end of the day, turn it all back in for storage and safekeeping. A Militia, by definition, has a purpose and charter, and exists generally to fulfill local security missions when the Army, the National Guard or the State Defense Force aren't available. They're sworn, they take an oath to support and defend the Constitution and the laws of their State or Territory, and they have a chain of command and a chain of authority. It's not a bunch of goobers who could only qualify for the Gravy Seals wearing a bunch of surplus camo they got at the Army-Navy store. It's not cosplay. It is well-defined and has a purpose, and amping up your testosterone because you didn't serve in the Army (or maybe you did, but like me, in a support role) and trying to relive your long-gone glory days.

If you join a well regulated Militia and abide by those rules, I have no problem with you having pretty much whatever guns and ammo you need for the security of a free State. Otherwise you're just a cosplay asshole with nothing better to do and no better way to compensate for your 2" penis.
