NBC’s Kerry Sanders is reporting that one of the children lived through the shooting but died in the hospital, underscoring why it matters that police took an hour to breach that classroom.

One of the mothers ran into the school and retrieved her own two kids.

Just their own kids is what I heard reported.

So they let that precious child bleed out while dicking around keeping the parents back. It takes a matter of seconds to breach a drug den's door, but they can't breach a door with an active shooter killing kids.

6. I think they're saying one child made it to the hospital alive after the shooting.

Where possibly, if they'd have been treated earlier, they might have survived. Yet, their little brutalized body was laying in the classroom bleeding while the police were outside not neutralizing the shooter.

I read that day two other children were alive when transported but were pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital. The same could be said for them. Seconds, let alone minutes matter desperately in a trauma injury.

7. The cops went in to get their own kids

but stood outside the door where the shooter was paralyzed with fear. While the shooter kept gunning down children. oh my.

8. This may not actually be true

I’ve heard multiple versions. Evidently, an off-duty Border Patrol agent rushed in with a shotgun to rescue his daughter, though he helped rescue other kids as well.

There’s a chance this is somehow morphing into cops rescuing their own kids and no one else’s.

Not sure what the truth is on that.
