And even then, the parents will be on the hook for co-pays, deductible, and co-insurance. Thousands of dollars in some cases which will hit poor and working class families hard.
Mind you, that's for the teacher and families whose children made it to the hospital, whether they survived or not.
The families will also be responsible for the funeral costs (approximately $5k to $10k?), though there's probably a fund being set up by the local churches and charities to cover those.
