They had at least a half-dozen "good guys with guns" wetting their pants in the parking lot while they waited for someone with an ounce of courage to show up and confront the shooter.

Now kids get to learn in combat zones which is fundamentally wrong and republicons want to increase a military presence.

The idea of anyone, let alone children, defenseless and facing an armed attacker should be enough motivation for anyone to charge into any danger - especially when that is your job.
