(73,634 posts)I have a few relatives that are in school. I remember earlier, before this latest rampage, one describing a kid in her small, rural school as being threatening. One day at the end of class, the teacher told another student not to pick on that kid, saying, "We don't want him bringing a gun to school and killing us."
While I do not think the teacher should have said that to students -- word spread mighty fast -- I get it. I talk with teachers, administrators, board members, and social workers from many area schools. They are on edge. One board member told me yesterday that his school has dealt with several threats in 2022. And about a month or so ago, I posted a story about a guy from an area high school who posted a video on line of him & a friend "practicing" an assault on black students.
