Any future for gun regulation is ominous... the Courts have turned.

After decades of work, a half wit double digit IQ tool of the Federalist Society and the NRA "finished off" the High Courts by 2021.

California and their 21 year old age restriction on Assault Rifle sales?

Unconstitutional.

Now let me repeat... a 3 Judge panel of the 9th Circuit says so... including 2 Trump nominees.

California's under-21 gun sales ban is unconstitutional, court says

https://www.npr.org/2022/05/11/1098432386/california-21-gun-sales-ban-unconstitutional-court-says

And California's restriction on Assault Rifles?

https://calmatters.org/newsletters/whatmatters/2021/12/california-gun-laws-court/

Unconstitutional. According to a District Court Judge...

The 9th Circuit put a stay on that decision BUT it's being appealed to SCOTUS.

We're farther gone than most realize...

2. And California's ban on high cap magazines?

The 9th Circuit found it to be UNCONSTITUTIONAL.

Then then an appeal was filed and the 9th Circuit reversed... pending an appeal to SCOTUS.

For now the high cap magazine ban is NOT being enforced...

I Know a lot of people are offended by talk about securing schools... but it needs to be done.

Steel security doors, metal detectors... guards... schools need to be like Airports.

It's sad, it's pathetic but it's reality.

BECAUSE we can't control the guns OR the mental health of bad people.

The 9th Circuit was a reliably BLUE Court until TFG shook it up and now, at best it's a 50/50 Court.

continues to destroy America.

The conservative courts is another reason why advocating for more firearm regulatory measures is pointless.

Couple that with 400 million guns already out there and it's a steep hill to climb.

13. Every case is now prejudged...

Once the SC decided that whole inconvenient well regulated militia thing was to be ignored they now focus on the “shall not be infringed” wording. Just like the obscene tweet from the NRA yesterday.

Our federal courts are now thoroughly corrupted and are a cess pit of fascist libertarian thinking.

These people are not conservatives in any sense of the word. The courts now legislate more than any legislature and increasingly are not allowing the states to govern themselves.

I’m not sure what the answer is, but the first step is adjusting the language we use to talk about these anti-democratic regressive reactionaries.

We all have to stop letting them masquerade as principled conservatives. They are anything but.
