SUBJ: ONE DEAD SEVEN INJURED AT OKLAHOMA MEMORIAL DAY FESTIVAL
1. (U) ONE US NATIONAL WAS KILLED AND SEVEN US NATIONALS WERE INJURED BY GUNFIRE AT THE MEMORIAL DAY FESTIVAL IN TAFT, OK (35.761N 95.547W) IN THE 2300L HOUR OF 28 MAY 2022.
2. (U) WITNESSES REPORT AN ARGUMENT HAPPENED SHORTLY AFTER 2300L 28 MAY WHICH QUICKLY ESCALATED TO GUNFIRE.
3. (U) TYPE OF WEAPONS USED IN THIS INCIDENT ARE CURRENTLY UNKNOWN TO THIS REPORTING STATION.
4. (U) EXCEPT FOR THE ONE PERSON KILLED ALL INJURIES INFLICTED IN THIS INCIDENT ARE REPORTED AS NON LIFE THREATENING.
5. (U) SHOOTER SURRENDERED TO LOCAL POLICE SHORTLY AFTER THE INCIDENT AND WAS PLACED IN JAIL.
6. (U) INVESTIGATIVE ACTIVITY CONTINUES.
