actually defended themselves against someone endangering them or others?
Maybe I missed it, but I have yet to hear of such an event.
All I have seen are photos of people in Cosplay walking around looking like assholes.

Thats the problem with the Good Guy with a Gun argument. Even when it actually works as intended, its never actually a solution to gun violence. Its only mitigation.

(40,212 posts)I still don't see how that justifies the hundreds of thousands of AR-15 type weapons already owned and being sold. Almost none of these weapons will ever be used in such a situation.

(32,712 posts)and then their weapons and ammo would be used in the attack. The only way the "good guy with a gun" scenario could work is if the weapon is concealed and the GGWAG was an excellent shot.
