That’s the problem with the “Good Guy with a Gun” argument. Even when it actually works as intended, it’s never actually a solution to gun violence. It’s only mitigation.

I still don't see how that justifies the hundreds of thousands of AR-15 type weapons already owned and being sold. Almost none of these weapons will ever be used in such a situation.

and then their weapons and ammo would be used in the attack. The only way the "good guy with a gun" scenario could work is if the weapon is concealed and the GGWAG was an excellent shot.
