The Secret Service spent nearly $2 million at Trump properties ...

I don't know if this was posted at the time, but it's the first I heard about it.

But this story is not surprising, grifters got to grift.

https://www.citizensforethics.org/reports-investigations/crew-investigations/the-secret-service-spent-nearly-2-million-at-trump-properties/

The Secret Service has spent nearly $2 million of taxpayer money at Trump properties, literally paying Donald Trump for the right to protect him and his family, according to government records obtained and analyzed by CREW. Newly acquired records show roughly $1.75 million being paid to Trump’s businesses; however, these records appear to be incomplete. Previously published records, by CREW and others, which do not appear to be included in the documents, account for thousands more in Secret Service spending at Trump properties, bringing the likely grand total closer to $2 million.

I would say at least double that amount. And he's still broke. Because he's a monumentally stupid man and the worst businessman anyone has ever seen.

They were renting portajohns so secret service didn't come inside for the bathroom.
How many other nickels did they squeeze out of the system?
$1.75 million just feels very low.

at other places. Since we don't know how many SS were assigned to each (classified), we can only assume that the traffic was in and out all day. I would probably make alternate arrangements if it were my house. Can you imagine 40 guys in and out of your house all day? Of course, with probably 7 baths in their multi-million $ house, they could have said "Use these 2 only ." Not like Ivanka has to get on her knees and clean pee off the floor.

CREW is saying the same thing, that it may be more because they don't list any Mar-A-Lago charge until 2018.

How much does the Secret Service pay to protect our former presidents? George W. Bush, Jimmy Carter, Barack Obama and Bill Clinton all receive protection and I'm curious how much that costs.

By no means am I defending Trump's grifting! I just think it would provide perspective if we know how these costs compare.

"Why shouldn't Presidents have their own business?"
And I said. "Because they will make legislative decisions based on how it would benefit their companies, thus themselves, instead of the people they're supposed to represent. Also, it opens it up for grafting disguised as government needs."

My friend did not agree, yet here we are.
I haven't spoken with my friend for almost 2 years.

Just think of all the times "that person" went golfing at his golf courses...and the money that went into his pocket while he didn't spend any of his own money at the course.

"Paid Vacation" takes on a whole new meaning...
