Once again it appears I was right in questioning this DOJ subpoena. The number of the grand jury is not the same grand jury that is investigating the insurrection. What this appears to me is an attempt by DOJ to get Navarro to comply with the select committee subpoena. DOJ is trying to get Navarro to turn over documents to the select committee.
That's what my investigators have uncovered, they may be wrong, but the fact remains the number of Navarro's grand jury doesn't jive with the ongoing grand jury number.

(5,851 posts)I have not seen any reporting why he was subpoenaed, what this relates to.

Pure speculation. Daniel Goldman said otherwise. He was the House impeachment counsel and I tend to believe what he says. He knows his shit.
At any rate, the inner circle is now a target of the DOJ. We should all be happy about that.
Bring it on.

most of the time a person given a grand jury subpoena is given immunity which prevents him from invoking the 5th Amendment. If he doesn't get immunity he will invoke the 5th.

(21,402 posts)but I am certain that Navarro's grand jury number is different than the ongoing grand jury number that is prosecuting insurrectionists.
What this means, I honestly don't know, I am just an internet prosecutor.

Well Bannon was indicted so that is good news.

(86,775 posts)If this is for a separate GJ, perhaps it's about another crime/criminal in the mix that we haven't heard about yet. I'm certain there are GJs investigating many aspects of the attempts to trash the country. Time will tell.

(4,913 posts)Garland, the DOJ are going to do nothing, A grand jury subpoenaed Navarro for the hell of it. They want documents, they want to know why he refused to comply with the committee subpoena. It's a cover up I tell you.
gab13by13
(21,402 posts)this has nothing to do with the select committee, this is all about DOJ going after the coup plotters. This is born out because DOJ wants communications between Navarro and Trump.
Go get em Merrick Garland. Going to a different grand jury made zero difference. I am on the Garland train for this one.

(4,913 posts)I guess he ruined your investigation. I guess we all made this stupid mistake. We believed Navarro. I will not make that mistake again.
He is a head case.
