Tried to load the Newsweek page and their virus checker flagged it as suspect for viruses.

Sort of like I mentioned one news item to someone I know that was from CNN. He dismissed it as a liberal rag (he lived in the red part of California then moved to an even redder state). If CNN told him the color of his hair accurately, he would debate it.

The same applies here, there are sources people consider in their personal "legit" list and dismiss everything else. I don't have such a list, I will look at opposing views, but most of the time, yeah, its bullshit. But even most of the cohesive sources on DU can publish occasional bullshit.

For example, many like Bill Maher when he expresses his viewpoints that they like....then condemn him when he doesn't.

It has a history of favoring clickbait over journalistic best practices. Wikipedia cautions editors to evaluate articles on a case-by-case basis, calling it "not generally reliable."
