Weather modification
If you google this topic or geoengineering, you can go to sites of every kind. Some of them are legitimate resources and others dip or drown in conspiracy theories about HAARP and chemtrails.
Make no mistake about it though. Weather modiication is occurring. Here is just one site:

This is just one state.
Most of what can be found is about cloud seeding. That seems to be a widespread practice. Although the people doing this claim that only local areas are affected, one has to wonder. Everything is interconnected.
I have no doubt that more sophisticated techniques are being developed and used by some entity. The problems some areas face are dire, and those with power and money are going to try to alleviate them.
I am not claiming that this caused Sandy. However, I don't believe that many who are monkeying with nature have any idea what will occur. One area may be helped at the expense of another.
It's a brave new world and a scary one to boot.
