(111,104 posts)They must remind the voters that the President is not responsible for the rise or fall of gas prices, but they do not want to keep it too much out front as an issue. The more it is focused upon, the more difficult it is for Democrats to respond. They need to be repetitive with their point that the President is not responsible for high gas prices, but they do not need to be too repetitive. It is fine-line messaging.
